BRONX COIL INSPECTION AND TENSION LEVEL LINES INTO PRODUCTION IN INDIA

The last of the 2 Coil Inspection Lines recently supplied by Bronx Engineering to a major steel company in India is now into production.

Coils of up to 30000kgs in weight from 0.3 to 2.5 mm thick can be processed with full inspection of both upper and lower surfaces, together with a Tension Levelling and Edge Trimming facility. This allows the customer to supply full grade inspected coils to the automotive and white goods industry.

Strip surface inspection is carried out, and any faults can be electronically tagged, giving information to the end user to take any action necessary dependant upon the product.

The first line, commissioned earlier this year is now operating on a 3 shift per day basis and is processing an average of 500 tonnes per day. The second line recently commissioned is at present working on a single shift basis but is already producing an average of 200 tonnes per shift.

Both lines have been designed, supplied and commissioned using the expertise of both Bronx Engineering in the UK and Bronx Process Engineering in India where some of the equipment was built
